Observations and Impressions The internship was a chance for me to observe the inner workings of the European Parliament. In my opinion, the European Parliament was successful in unifying the different states by overcoming the barriers of cultural differences and language barriers. It was fascinating to observe how a truly developed country can address issues and problems. As one who aspires to make a difference in my country, the things that I have learned from this experience will definitely prepare me for challenges ahead. Plus, there is the added incentive of creating bridges by forming friendships with ALDE’s MEPs especially with the group’s leader Mr. Graham Watson, Desiree Oen- the head of the leaders office, other policy advisors and last but not the least with the fellow interns. |
