The Conference Logo:   The sides of the logo are silhouettes of the chofa (Thai roof finials or sky tassels, probably derived from early Khmer architecture) that represents the Garuda or Naga, bird or serpent-like mythical symbols that are common in the visual cultures from all over South, Southeast and East Asia.  These symbols represent harmony between the universe and humankind. In the center of the logo is a stylized rendition of the human form with arms raised, a gesture associated with young people, i.e.; quest for knowledge, an activist disposition, boundless idealism. The letter Y, for Young Liberals & Democrats of Asia, is also rendered by this posture. (Logo Concept by John Joseph S. Coronel, CALD Executive Director and executed by John Eric Sobropena of FNF Manila)
