CALD resolution calling for the grant of medical parole to Former Taiwanese President and Former CALD Chair Chen Shui-bian
CALD resolution expressing concern on China’s inclusion of disputed or national territories in the map imprinted on its new electronic passport; recognizing that the act may be construed as provocative by other Asian countries; and calling on all concerned countries to respect each other’s territory and maritime jurisdiction, as defined by international law, in the spirit of peaceful, constructive and amicable settlement of disputes.
CALD resolution welcoming the issuance of ASEAN Statement on the Six-Point Principles on the South China Sea, acknowledging that the release of the statement was prompted by the intransigence of current ASEAN Chair Cambodia to issue a joint communique reflective of regional security concerns, and urging ASEAN to enhance its centrality in the region by maintaining its unity amidst challenges to regional cohesion and autonomy.

CALD resolution calling for the abolition of the Internal Security Act (ISA) in Singapore; welcoming the formation of movements and networks pushing for the repeal of the ISA; and acknowledging that the abolition of such an act would lessen cases of illegal detention, torture and other practices which violate fundamental human rights.
CALD resolution recognizing the positive signs of change in Burma; acknowledging that despite these encouraging signs, the government has to do more in terms of demonstrating its seriousness to institutionalize and strengthen democracy in the country; and calling for continuing vigilant activism of the international community and the Burmese people to ensure that these changes would be sustained and possible military backlash would be averted, promoting swift progress towards the goal of a truly democratic Burma which upholds human rights and the rule of law.
CALD resolution acknowledging the importance of the abolition of Internal Security Act (ISA) to instituting political reforms in Malaysia; recognizing the democratic value of the repeal of Emergency Ordinance (EO) and of the proposed amendments to laws on media licensing and public assembly; and acknowledging that these moves of Prime Minister Najib Razak's government are major steps in furthering and strengthening democracy, human rights and the rule of law in Malaysia.
CALD resolution congratulating former CALD Chairperson and current Singapore Democratic Party (SDP) Secretary General, Dr. Chee Soon Juan, for being awarded the Liberal International Prize for Freedom 2011; recognizing that the award attests to his contributions to making Singapore a freer and more democratic country; and wishing that this award would further strengthen his and SDP's resolve to fight for the cause of democracy, freedom, human rights and social justice in Singapore.
