(February 11, 2008/ Brussels, Belgium) Mr. Chaiyakorn
Chiempitayanuwat became the first CALD intern sent to Brussels
for the ALDE-CALD Internship Program this year
when he started his internship program at the European
Parliament (EP) last February 11, 2008.
He will work under the guidance of the Alliance of Liberals and
Democrats for Europe (ALDE) Group in the EP until April 14,
2008.
Mr. Chaiyakorn Chiempitayanuwat, who graduated from the
Thammasat University in Bangkok, took up a degree in
International Economics and Finance. He then joined the Democrat
Party of Thailand as its intern and analyst in October 2007.
Prior to his stint with the Democrats, Mr. Chiempitayanuwat
became a Research Assistant for the Research Consultancy
Institute in Thammasat University in Thailand in which he became
part of the research team who made a study on the “Impacts of
Thailand FTA on Thai Agricultural Sector” which was presented to
the Office of Agricultural Economics of the Ministry of
Agriculture and Cooperatives of Thailand in 2007. |
